Lorenzo Antonio
Lorenzo Antonio was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on October 3rd. Since he was a little boy, he knew he wanted to be a singer, and at the early age of 5, Lorenzo began singing and playing the guitar. By the time Lorenzo was 12 years old, he had already sold over a million records. By the time he was 17, he was known internationally throughout all of the Americas. His mantle is full of awards that he has received throughout his successful career. Platinum and gold records adorn the walls of his recording studio for both singing and song writing.
Al Hurricane & Al Hurricane Jr.
Al Hurricane was born on July 10, 1936 in Dixon, New Mexico. His birth name is Alberto Nelson Sanchez. Hurricane was a nickname given to him by his mother because he was like a little Hurricane, always knocking things over at the dinner table and objects in his path. His father’s name is Jose Margarito Sanchez who died in 1979, and his mother’s name was Bennie L. Sanchez who died in 2011.
Sparx
Sparx -- Veronica, Rosamaria, Kristyna, and Carolina -- are four sisters who began singing together at a very early age. Their career began alongside their brother Lorenzo Antonio, when they won first place in a children’s festival in Mexico City called Juguemos a Cantar.
Gonzalo
Hailing from Las Vegas, New Mexico, Gonzalo has earned his place in the New Mexico Music Industry. His debut CD "Adolorido" was released in 2001 followed by "Mil Copas" in 2002. Gonzalo has received numerous awards throughout his career.
Los Blue Ventures
Los Blue Ventures de Louis Sanchez, an Espanola group draws record crowds wherever they perform. This group is the literal definition of "familia". Louis Sanchez is the father of eight children, most of whom play or have played with the group the last 10 years. Matthew Martinez
Matthew has been involved in music since he was three years old. His father Henry Martinez taught him how to sing and at the age of three, he made his first vocal performance in Albuquerque New Mexico with Mariachi. Ever since then, Matthew has shown great interest in music. In elementary school Matthew learned how to play the trumpet and continued through High School where he also played the Baritone and Trombone.
Bryan Olivas
Bryan Olivas was born on April 19, 1978 in northern New Mexico and raised in Velarde. Bryan has always had a great love of music. When he was younger, he would entertain his family by singing and playing the guitar. Through the years, Bryan learned to play a number of instruments including; guitar, bass guitar, piano/keyboard, trumpet, and mandolin.
Cuarenta y Cinco
Cuarenta y Cinco is one of New Mexico’s top groups and has been since its start in 1991. The traditional sound of New Mexico is what people think of when they hear Cuarenta y Cinco play their upbeat music. Know for their high energy dance music, Cuarenta y Cinco has long ruled northern New Mexico and been a favorite of many people throughout the southwest. Cuarenta y Cinco has had much success with the blend of rancheras, cumbias, valses, boleros, country/western, oldies, and modern rock. The ability to get airplay from their 6 albums is what has kept them a permanent New Mexico fixture over the years and a powerhouse when it comes to a loyal fan base. With ten plus years under its belt and a willingness to work hard, Cuarenta y Cinco has a proven formula for success and will continue to pack dance floors around the Land of Enchantment.
Steve Chavez
Steve Chavez was born November 14th, grew up in Alcalde, and now lives in Espanola New Mexico (Arroyo Seco). He began playing music as a child alongside his Father and brothers. Through middle school and high school Steve was constantly developing his vocal capabilities. He was selected as one of two vocalists to participate in the1980 Allstate vocalist concert at Popejoy Hall, UNM.
El Gringo
Before becoming known as El Gringo, he was Shawn Kiehne. His first musical success was when he entered a high school talent contest on a dare, and ended up winning 1st place! El Gringo started getting offers to sing in country music bands, and even ended up winning many talent contest including garnering 2nd Place in the Nashville Star southwest regionals held in Albuquerque.
Eva Torrez
Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Eva’s music style goes back through generations of family musicians on her mother & fathers side. Her father, Bennie Torrez, a vocalist and trumpet player was a member of the group “Manny and the Casanova’s” back in the early sixties for many years. As her brothers grew and became musicians as well, he went on to form “Ben Torrez and the 4T’s”. Coming out of her childhood, Eva began performing with her father and her brothers at various functions. “Ben Torrez and the 4T’s” became recognized for their showmanship and style of music. They performed several years all over Albuquerque and New Mexico.
Jerry Dean
Jerry Dean is no newcomer to the music industry. Jerry Dean has been surrounded by music all his life. Influenced by his father, Al Hurricane, and family, Al Hurricane, Jr., Tiny Morrie, Lorenzo Antonio, SPARX and Baby Gaby, Jerry Dean was bound to a path of distinctive, dynamic and creative music. Jerry started playing trumpet and guitar in his father’s band at the age of 13. He traveled extensively with his renown family throughout the United States and Mexico. Jerry Dean had the great opportunity to perform and sing with his family in front of crowds ranging from 5,000 to 20,000 people over the past 20 years.
Tobias Rene
Tobias Rene is a native New Mexican who records and performs traditional Spanish music. Tobias Rene has earned the title “King of New Mexico Music” from his adoring fans due to the astonishing hits from his first CD, “Por Primera Vez”, released in 1999. His second CD, “Con Ganas,” was released in 2001. Collectively, over 50,000 copies have sold! Tobias can be compared to the likes of Tejano music legends Little Joe, Ruben Ramos, and Sunny Ozuna. Closer to home, he shares headliner status with groups such as Sparx and Al Hurricane. Many young fans have classified Tobias as “The Ricky Martin of New Mexico Music.”
Red Wine
Red Wine has been performing out of Albuquerque since 1982! In addition, Red Wine Band has performed throughout Arizona, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, and Texas. Red Wine has been fortunate enough to be invited to perform with legends such as The Turtles, The Diamonds, Chubby Checker, Little Joe y La Familia, Ruben Ramos, Sunny Osuna, Malo, Cornelio Reyna, and the late Selena.
Mariachi Paisano Del Valle
Mariachi Paisano del Valle was formed in 1997 by Martin Sena. All members were once students at Valley Elementary, Middle School where Sena teaches music for the West Las Vegas School District in New Mexico. Members range from ages 15-22 and attend school either at West Las Vegas High School or New Mexico Highlands University.
Mark Rendon Y Deztino
Mark Rendon, born April 26, 1986, is an up and coming artist who is quickly making a name for himself in the New Mexico music scene. Mark, a life-long resident of Velarde, was raised with a strong understanding of what New Mexico music is and what it means to our culture and way of life. As a young man Mark fell in love with New Mexico music while traveling through the various towns and villages of New Mexico and Colorado with his parents Mike and Sharon Rendon as they toured with their band SoundSation. Today Mike and Sharon take great pride in their son Mark and continue to play and tour as important and influential members of the Deztino band.
Ernestine Romero
Ernestine Romero, recording artist and song writer from Pojoaque, NM, has released numerous albums in her youthful career including. She has won various awards for her Cd’s and is recently releasing her newest 7th CD entitled “Aqui Estoy” which she believes is her best yet. Ernestine displayed her passion for music at the tender age of 3 and began her professional career at the age of 8. She released her first CD at the age of 11 and looked at her father as a mentor all her life. Her musical talent and stage presence have made her a unique Latina artist who has performed throughout the United States and parts of Mexico.
Juntos Unidos
Juntos Unidos has been considered one of New Mexico’s hottest performing bands. Established in 1996, Juntos Unidos prides itself on providing dancing music for all occasions. Over the years, Juntos Unidos has played all around New Mexico and has also played shows in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, and Texas.
Robbie Jude
Robbie Jude has gained recognition and praise for his high energy variety band. With several awards under his belt, his fan base and popularity continue to grow. From one venue to another, word of Robbie Jude’s talent has spread throughout the southwest.
Sorela
Older sister D’ette, “La Guera” has light colored hair and blue-green eyes. Younger sister D’anna, “La Morenita” has jet-black hair and black eyes. Sorela got their start at a local church talent show under the name D’Girlz. At ages 6 and 7, they won the $100 prize for first place. This successful performance was all the inspiration they needed to begin their dream.
Jenna
Jenna Martinez, from Vadito New Mexico has just released her 4th Album entitled "Soy del Norte" with producer Matthew Martinez at Martinez Recording Studios in Albuquerque, NM. The album features 10 songs, New Mexico Sytle Music mixed with a touch of cumbias and salsas, and fun songs all put together with lots of emotion and energy. Jenna's first English song, an Oldies Medley, is on the CD.
Paul Pino
Paul Pino was raised “free range” on the wide open prairie of New Mexico where his family has ranched for five generations. He has been a special education teacher and administrator for Albuquerque Public Schools for 25 years. The day after retiring from APS on May 23rd, 2008 he will start his fulltime music career.

Miguel Timoteo
Miguel Timoteo Gurule was born and raised in Alcalde, NM. Miguel started singing at the age of 6 when his father asked him to sing with him while practicing with an acoustic guitar at home. Miguel’s father played with a few Northern New Mexican bands, so rancheras and cumbias were nothing to new to the youngster. Miguel was raised in a musical environment and dreamed of someday recording his own New Mexico music.
Miguel Antonio
Miguel Antonio, also known as Michael Martinez, a native New Mexican, born and raised in Albuquerque, has been around and loved Latin Music from his upbringing to the present. He is the grandson of Alberto Marin, a famous Bolero Music Artist from Chihuahua, Mexico.
Marcella Sloan
Marcella was raised by her parents Pete and Emily Maestas in Chili’, New Mexico. Her siblings include one younger brother and a younger sister. Music has always been an intricate and important part of Marcella’s life. Since childhood, she felt drawn to the musical world on one level or another. Her love and passion for music were apparent thru the musical activities she pursued.
