ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — The suspect in the shooting death of an Albuquerque police officer is scheduled to stand trial this week in a federal firearms case. A firearm at the center of the bench trial that goes before Chief Judge M. Christina Armijo on Monday is the same one authorities say was used to fatally shoot Officer Daniel Webster last year. Police say the officer was shot by ex-convict Davon Lymon on Oct. 21, 2015, during a nightime traffic stop. Webster died eight days later from his injuries at University of New Mexico Hospital. State charges in Webster's death have not yet been filed. Lymon has remained in custody on federal charges since his arrest in the shooting. Prosecutors have listed 25 potential witnesses and evidence that includes video from Webster's body camera.
