We are Rio Grande Valley Blue Star Mothers, a non-partisan 501 (c)3 organization.
We support active duty military and veterans. We are holding our first CHEF LANDRY COMEDY DINNER SHOW & AUCTION FUNDRAISER on April 29th. Tickets are $50 each and are currently on sale. This will be a fun evening with great Cajun food and entertainment with a silent and live auction.
Our main project is sending care boxes to deployed military. We send 300 boxes 3-4 times a year at a cost of $4800 for each packing of those packings just for the postage, not including the cost of the box contents. The boxes contain cookies, salsa, food and personal care items which our ABQ community has generously donated to. However, donations are down and we could use additional help.
