Would you like time set aside to make your own art? Do you need a regular creative ‘fix’? If you respond well to the rhythm of weekly classes, would like to work more with a particular media, or want to get back into regular creative practice, this is the perfect place for you! As fellow artists, art instructors, and ArtFix moderators, Lea Anderson and Ivan Boyd, are here to offer valuable feedback, mentorship, tips and suggestions for whatever you want to work on. The last night of class will be set aside for a supportive group critique. This fun, friendly, unique atmosphere will provide opportunities for networking, discussion, and creative growth. Make time for this important part of your life!

The Indian Pueblo Entrepreneur Complex will be holding free trainings for farmers, gardeners, and anyone who would like to learn more about growing. Topics include summer and fall planting techniques, hydroponics systems, DIY cold-bot build, and post-harvest handling. These trainings are ideal for those in rural and urban settings alike. An introduction to black and white film photography, which includes learning to process film and print black and white 35mm negatives. Class will meet to take pictures near Harwood, bring the film rolls to the darkroom and develop them. Each student will then have the chance to make a contact sheet of the film strips and choose the negatives to print by learning how to analyze printable negatives. Students will then print the chosen negatives on black and white paper. Students will know how to take good exposures by learning about the exposure triangle (aperture, shutter speed, ISO). They will learn the importance of a good exposure on the quality of their negatives and ultimately, the quality of their photographic prints.

This workshop will have a concentrated, robust emphasis on understanding the history and process of underground mini comic creation. This course will be accessible to all adults with varying degrees of interest in the world of self publishing, screenprinting, and linocut. Featured in this workshop will be my collection of comics curated from my personal experience traveling throughout the United States collecting zines delving into an assortment of fun topics from a variety of artists.
